Whether you're a complete beginner, an improver or an experienced rider who wants perfect their skills, OURC can organise riding lessons for you.

Once you are on our mailing list and a member of OURC (contact Rachel Kolb  to be put on the list), you will receive emails about weekly riding. Riders are grouped according to ability/experience and availability, and then offered time slots. We use BHS-approved riding centre, Hall Place Equestrian Centre (http://www.hall-place.com) in Tilehurst, near Reading - they offer a range of lesson options, from beginners to advanced showjumping with fully-qualified instructors and very good horses.

Lessons usually take place on Wednesday afternoons and cost £20/person for a group lesson or £42/person for private lessons. We will endeavour to group people with someone who has a car and can drive to the venue, otherwise Tilehurst is 40 minutes on the train from Oxford.

If you have any questions about lessons, please contact our social secretary, Milica Dusanovic ([email protected])  or President Susie Wise ([email protected]).
